Sunday Drive

The Outlet at Bridgewater Park

The Outlet at Bridgewater Park

It was wet, cold and windy over the weekend but that didn’t stop us from going out.

We made a quick stop at a friend’s house in North Dublin where she prepared a yummy meal of nasi ayam and 30 minutes later we were on our way to The Outlet at Bridgewater Park, Northern Ireland.

As I am only down to only one pair of jeans, I made my way to Gap looking for one that wouldn’t burst my budget. I really love the fact that the pound is getting weaker against the Euro and you can get some pretty good deals for below a tenner! I remember my mother-in-law getting a pair of jeans at Marks for only £4.99 which is definitely a steal. Heheh

The shops

The shops

These photos were actually taken during our last trip here months and months ago but I only decided to put them up now.

We drove back to Dublin that night and had kebab in one of the turkish diners in town.

It was a Sunday well spent.

ps: you’ll probably see less updates in the coming weeks as I have to study for a Paediatric course lined up for end of November :(

Lucky kiddies!

We are heading here later to get last minute gifts for the family.

And the weather looks very bright outside too.

Did I tell you the last time I was here Pink had a big sale and I got shirts for 20 euros each.

And I heard they costs nearly RM1k back home for a shirt, ridiculous!

Anyway, I couldn’t help but laugh when reading all the messages from home.

At least, now we know what to get for our nephews and nieces.

Fariz : Songs for Ipod ( Easy, we have tons of songs for you to choose from )

Elle : Quality Street chocolates ( Is this all Elle? )

Alea and Azarul : Ireland Bookmark or Keychain ( Nice ! )

Farouq : Sony PSP games ( Oh, we have a few of our own to give ! )

Fariq and Farhad : ‘Are you sure you don’t want anything ?’

Tsara : A Barbie/Ballerina nightie ( Shouldn’t be a problem )

Mikhail : Map of Ireland ( Huh? Cute though! )

Arisya : Stickers ( Shouldn’t be a problem too! )

Nufhail : ‘Cars’ School Bag ( Will checkout the toystore )

Arsyad : Ironman ( It’s everywhere, thank god )

We decided for the 2 young ones :

Amber : Barbie !

Maira : A pretty top !

Phuh, them being specific with the requests make our lives so much easier.

Opps, really have to go now. He was oncall last night and coming home really soon, yikes.

A Charming Present!

I have every reason to be happy as my birthday came 2 weeks early this year.

I spent the last few hours of our stay in London browsing through Selfridges when an unexpected phone call came through.

Two of my best mates had suprised me with an early birthday present!

Now, can you guess which two ? ;)

The night before, one of them had amazed me with her collection of Thomas Sabo Charms which she had collected from 2006.

So after much contemplating, I used the Gift Voucher to treat myself to a bracelet and 2 charms to represent both of them.

I absolutely love it! :D

Thanks a million, guys!

(Indeed one was really happy as the birthday girl herself hadn’t remembered her big day was approaching!)

Singin’ In The Rain

blog-wellies-1.jpg

Let the stormy clouds chase,
Everyone from from the place,
Come on with the rain,
I have a smile on my face
I’ll walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
Just singin’, singin’ in the rain

For ages I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of wellies.

It’s either been :

1) Too costly (It’s only rubber)

2) A really awful colour

3) The wrong size

But one rainy day a few weeks back, he found this.

And mind you, it didn’t cost a bomb (outlet maa!)

I know it will come in very handy one day.

Bring in the rain! I’m ready to splash those puddles!

Oh, and finally…I really love Gene Kelly in this video.

I can watch it over and over and over again…

and not get bored of it!

Sigh. He makes it look soooo easy.

(and apparently he had a fever too while shooting this)
