It has been raining every single day the past week that we had to put on hold any plans for a BBQ at our place, at least until the sun returns again.
And with the gloomy weather, we haven’t been playing much with the dslr as we having been staying in most days.
So for the folks back home (my parents have been demanding a photo of him every time I call home), I hope this photo of Aidan from my iPhone will do – a bit blurry but you can’t expect much from a 2MP camera.
A close up to accentuate his chubby cheeks and you don’t have to guess far as to where he inherited it from!

it's not the best angle but you can't hide the pipi labuh

Rina, he is soo adorable esp those chubby cheeks! Keep posting the photos! Anyway how are you doing? I’m sure you’re enjoying your time with the baby at home.. Too bad we only have 2 months maternity leave in Msia..
hi Raz,
being a first time mom (forget that i have paediatric experience!) took me quite while to adjust to the shock of having a baby in the house. finally in week 8, he began to sleep longer and less crying and thus giving me more ‘me time’
i am enjoying my time with the baby however i do wish i have an extra pair of hands. he’s with me now 24/7..so its a constant juggle with the cooking, cleaning and grocery shopping. luckily he behaves well when im driving out alone with him, that i am very thankful for. some days i would tell dzul that i would swap roles with him anytime…heheh.
but as long as the baby is healthy, im happy. and i wish malaysia would give 6 mths maternity leave too. gosh this is so long i could do another entry on its own…haha
The first 8 weeks is indeed the most difficult as we are so deprived of sleep and also it is such a shock suddenly having a baby in the house. This must have been even tougher for you having had many years of peace and quiet just the two of you for so long! And juggling baby and housework certainly is no easy work. I still think it’s easier to go to work!
But glad to hear that he’s sleeping better and that he is happy in his car-seat – essential when you are alone! Anyway, really hope we can catch you and Aidan when you’re back. Take care and please gigit his pipi for me!! XX
shasha,
oh, i struggled a lot during confinement!
but thankfully he’s improved a lot over the past few weeks and now sleeping 7 hours at night waking only once for a feed.
i really enjoy going out shopping with him alone as he absolutely loves his carseat and stroller. but at home its a different ball game altogether demanding a feed every 2 hours!
oh, we should definitely meet up when im back. might organize a do at my new house if there’s enough furniture to handle the crowd. i really need to sort out my house when i come home. as for now, my mom commented there’s wires sticking out my walls…hahaha…need to get advise from you as to where i should buy lights and furniture
