oh dear! a long way to go...
The supposedly 10 minute walk to the Eiffel turned into a 60 minute walk (we got a little lost along the way) that I became really hungry midway.

we took the night tour of the River Seine
So we went looking for a nice little French Cafe along the River Seine and whilst we were having dinner, it started to rain.
With no brolly in hand, we had to wait for the lashing rain to fade away.

worth the walk
Finally, we arrived at Eiffel Tower and although I’ve been here a couple of times before,
I really love how they illuminated the Eiffel so uniquely blue this time!

underneath the Eiffel
We later took the late night cruise along the River Seine and the romantic city was brightly illuminated with beautiful lights.
It was a superb ending to the night and definitely worth every blister.

I still do not understand what people see in the E-tower, but I must admit that I love getting lost in Paris and just wondering around, even after having lived there for many years (many years ago).
If you are still in France: have a great time. It is a miraculously beautiful country.
Sunny regards … yes, from France,
Deborah
hi deborah!
yes i agree France is a wonderful country with it’s rich culture, beautiful language and great people.
I guess it’s the whole package but i am aware that the Parisiens are not in favour of the E-tower and regard it as an eyesore!
Oh, I don’t regard it as an eyesore, I really don’t. It’s just that there are so many much more attractive buildings in Paris and I actually mostly wanted to suggest that getting lost in Paris and just walking and looking left and right is so much nicer than that very remarkable hunk of steel.
A trip on the Bateau Mouche is fabulous, isn’t it?
Soooo romantic!
Hope you are having a great time, with nice weather.
i’ve gotten lost in paris alrite! but like deborah said,
it’s definitely worth it… hehehe…
rina, you must have had a blast!
hello both!
yes, i had a great time and i wish i could go back there someday, something magical about the place!
